It’s time once again for me remind everybody of the upcoming Texas County Fair. This is the 92nd annual Panhandle Exposition. Hopefully, everyone has been working on their projects for this year’s fair. Next, I’d like to remind everyone that the entire fair book can be found online at www.texascountyfair.org. Results will also be available there as the fair progresses.

This year’s theme is Fields of Green. I invite everyone to take a look at our Texas County Fair’s book cover, billboards and posters as well as our radio commercials and note the deeper symbolism represented within, and how it relates to our little corner of the world.
As a point of interest, I would like to announce that most of the stock shows will take place in the evenings this year. Come out and support the youth and their livestock projects as you tour the fair.

Please be sure to visit our presenting sponsor, Epic PCS, at their booth. Have a great time at the carnival. Enter the homemade ice cream and Dutch oven contests. Also new this year- Amy Stevens of the Oklahoma City Zoo will be part of our Fields of Green with a special collection of animals from the zoo. That appearance is set for Friday evening from around 5 to close.
